# Administrator Guide

This guide is for people who look after their Organization in TrialGrid. It assumes you hold an [Organization Role](../organizations/roles.html.md#organization-roles) with the **Administer Permissions** permission. If you are not sure, look at your Organization home page. If you can see the **Org Team Members** card, you have it.

The guide takes you through setting up your Organization in the order that works best. Each page links to the reference pages in this help for more detail.

## How permissions fit together

TrialGrid controls what people may do at three levels.

| Level | What it controls | Who sets it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Organization | Administering permissions, creating and deleting URLs, Rave and Vault settings, reports, import scripts, icons and API access | Users with Administer Permissions, through Organization Roles |
| URL | Managing the URL's team, its configuration, labels, projects, libraries and other URL-wide settings | URL Managers, on the URL Team page |
| Project | What each team member may do in a Project and its Drafts | Anyone who can manage the Project's team, by giving each member a Project Role |

[Project Roles](project_roles.html.md#admin-guide-project-roles) are defined once for your whole Organization and used in every Project. You decide what each role allows. Your [license](licenses.html.md#admin-guide-licenses) decides which permissions roles can include.
