# Alerts Alerts are notifications to the user that some action has occurred in the system. An alert may relate to the completion or failure of a Task (see [Tasks](tasks.html.md#tasks)) or may be a notification that action is required, for example a user with Manage Approvals permission will receive an alert when a request for approval is made. > **Tip:** Click on the icon in the top menu bar to view the latest alerts.
